Privacy Policy

In short

Farmstead doesn't ask you to create an account and doesn't collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, contacts, or photos. It does report anonymous usage analytics — which screens get opened — so we can see which parts of the app are actually useful. You can turn that off at any time in Settings → Privacy. Your language and theme choices are saved only on your own device.

1Who we are

Farmstead ("the app") is published by Eyes of Jasmine Farm, an agricultural operation based in Jerash, Jordan. This policy explains what happens — and, just as importantly, what doesn't happen — to your information when you use the app.

2Information we do not collect

Farmstead has no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or photos. The app shows no ads, does not read your device's advertising ID, and does not build a profile of you or link what you do in the app to your identity.

3Anonymous usage analytics

Farmstead uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record which screens are opened and basic technical details that come with any app session: your device model, operating system version, app version, language, and the country or region your connection appears to come from. Firebase also assigns a random app instance identifier so repeat sessions from the same install can be counted once. That identifier is not your advertising ID — we explicitly disabled advertising ID and Android ID collection — and it is not tied to your name or any account, because the app has none.

We use this only in aggregate, to see which parts of the app are worth continuing to build. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone beyond Google, which processes it on our behalf as our service provider. Google's own handling of this data is described in its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

You can switch this off completely at Settings → Privacy → "Share anonymous usage data". When it's off, the app stops reporting entirely. To ask about or request deletion of data already collected, email us at eyesofjasminefarm@gmail.com.

4Information stored on your device

The app saves two preferences locally on your phone or tablet, using standard on-device storage: your chosen language (English or Arabic) and your chosen theme (light, dark, or automatic). These values never leave your device and are not accessible to us. Uninstalling the app removes them.

5Network requests

To show you growing guides, disease and pest identification, and companion-planting information, the app fetches content from Eyes of Jasmine Farm's own server. These requests only ask for the agricultural content you're viewing — they don't include your name, device identifiers, or any other personal data.

6Children's privacy

Farmstead is a general-audience reference app and is not directed at children. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone who uses the app, we don't knowingly collect personal information from children either.

7Changes to this policy

If we ever change what the app collects or how it works, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
